Hertel Farms Grass Fed Beef

ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

      We sell grass fed beef that has been born and raised on our family farm outside of Seymour, Texas.

They graze year-round on pastures of native grasses, bermuda grass, and wheat grass.The grass fed beef we sell is 100% hormone free and antibiotic free. If antibiotics are necessary, the cow is removed from the herd and is sold at a sale barn.

     Grass fed beef has many health benefits compared to conventional beef. It is 2.5x higher in

Omega 3's, which are shown to lower blood pressure, improve brain and eye health, improve risk factors for heart disease, decrease inflammation, the list goes on, and is much lower in total fat content.  We take pride in what we do, and it is what we feed our family on year-round.

***there is no scientific evidence that suggests that the anti-biotics or hormones given to cattle as prescribed will negetively affect people that consume that beef.  We offer our beef as an option for those that prefer to know where there beef came from and what all went into it.
